Upcoming Release
Tales of the Seven Dogs
Where: Abstract Nova Press Booth #2115, GenCon Indy
When: August 14th to 17th, 2008
What: Novella Based on Aletheia by Abstract Nova Press

The over-reaching goal of this novella is to appeal to a broad audience for both fans of this game and science fiction aficionados. Written in the first person, this novella entitled “Twin Designs” is a tale of two brothers named Ralph and Edgar Whitman. Each of the twins have the ability called “Presque Vu,” which enables the gifted to see whether or not an event is part of the grand design. Typically, a person who has this sight will also receive an epiphany or “flash,” providing him (or her) with a brief insight afterward. Ralph is the more sensitive of the two brothers, and struggles with his ability because it is not an exact science. Edgar, on the other hand, is almost his polar opposite and is the more practical of the two. Together they explore crop circles, ghosts, a mysterious piece of paper covered in cryptic writing, and the mansion called Hepta Sophistai under the leadership of Terrance Chastain.
The book will be comprised of three novellas written by myself, Jim Johnson, and Matt M McElroy.
Flash Fiction Samples
More to come…
Wedding Day: Southern Gothic Flash Fiction: This horror flash fiction piece is themed around the “southern gothic” genre. Little gore is in this piece, so it is suitable for readers who enjoy reading “fringe” horror.
H.O.N.E.Y: Postmodernist Flash Fiction: This highly-experimental piece is an early work of mine, written over 15 years ago. It has some fairly strong, sarcastic themes and was heavily influenced by my love for all things Kurt Vonnegut. Suitable for the curious reader, but does have some inflammatory comments about society in general.
Operation Bones: SciFi Flash Fiction: This science fiction piece has a bit of a military feel to it. Suitable for readers who enjoy gritty scifi.

Original Work
Queen of Crows on Flames Rising Horror Webzine
This original piece of historical horror fiction is based on the true story of a tragedy from the 1800s.
The short story that you are about to read happened completely by accident; I was catching up on my American history from the 1800s when I read about atrocities that were committed by a fort called “Bosque Redondo.” Inspired by the idea that desperate people do (and say) desperate things when they’re in trouble, I wrote “The Queen of Crows” as a horror story.

Conspiracy of Shadows published by Bob Goat Press
“He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.”
~ Friedrich Nietzsche, Beyond Good and Evil, Aphorism 146
Conspiracy of Shadows is a game of dark truths, hidden agendas, and a plan larger than the imagination. Just as many hands work towards both hiding and revealing the truth, gameplay encourages the whole group to create the action… No one knows for certain the full truth… until they play.
