@Jim – The goal for this marathon is to be fearless and just write, but at the end of the marathon there’s no reason why we can’t arrange for people to share. Many of us are under what’s known as a non-disclosure agreement, which makes it difficult to write and share the assignments we’re working on. It would be very challenging for writers like myself to share openly; but if you’re writing “on spec” it’s a different story.

If you need help writing your goals and your basic idea, I recommend asking around on forums and such. I find that the key to writing every day is to get those concepts clear in your own mind before you begin. You could try creating an outline, too.

Thank you. I am writing a SF myself but am excited over the prospect of reading someones game setting. (If anyone writes one). We are sharing stories right? Its fine if this is just to help motivate people I’m in but it would be kinda cool to share. I fear my concepts may be no good. Spelling and grammer can be checked by the computer and if someone says I need to reach for the thesaurus more often thats great to. My fear is that my basic ideas may suck. I’m worried about content and story telling ability than anything else.

Totally failed on NaNoWriMo this year due to illnesses and being far too behind in planning (and I’m finding planning helping a lot, I just should have started sooner).

Have to decide this weekend whether to work on what I originally intended for NaNoWriMo, or take a break from it and get back into some RPG writing. Hmm…

Absolument! My French is a bit rusty, but the goal here is to write. Any language would be just fine. I’ll post a revised set of final rules and guidelines on Monday.

@Jim – Nonfiction and game material would be included as well. The only thing I’m not including would be blogging or social media for the word count.

Since the game has not begun yet-anyone planning on writing any game world source books? Any original settings or material for already existing products? OR is this just fiction stories?

In my mind, writing is writing so it certainly could be something you’ve been sitting on for a while.
